The Little Black Skirt

Like everyone else I have been watching the new +Pink Clove UK clothing site with interest.  They are producing fast fashion at really affordable prices and there are some really nice pieces on there.   I have the tartan dress and the blue wrap dress (so far haha).

I have been wanting to branch out from my little dress world into skirts lately but haven’t been able to find the right one that screamed “me”.  Then I saw this little number priced at £10.00 and immediately went to checkout.

I love the side split in the skirt which gives a little bit of sass to what is just a plain black midi skirt.  That’s what I little in my outfits, somewhere that has to be a little bit of sassiness to spice things up.

I have styled it with a black and white leopard print cardigan from +Next  and some red t bar shoes that I got in the sale from +Evans.  I also have on a pearl bracelet I picked up from a charity shop and a jet black necklace, I can't remember where I got this.

I'm planning on this outfit for tomorrow, which will be today by the time you read this.  I'm thinking hair down, what do you think?

Beautiful South

I have been so engulfed in the 30 Day Challenge lately that I am trying madly to fit some outfit posts in with everything else I have to do.

I wore this outfit on Sunday, just two photographs unfortunately as they were taken just before I went out for a meal with the family.

I wore a beautiful black top with a Bow Lace Jumper from South at +Very.co.uk - click the link for better photos of it and also Tile Print Peg Trousers, again from South at +Very.co.uk , £22 and £25 respectively.

The red cardigan you have seen before, I think it was £7.00 from Primark.  My lovely lovely bag is from last season at +Next and the shoes are from I don't know where, old but I love them!

Wishlist - Shoes for the Summer

There are a few words that you could say to me to bring an instant smile to my face.  Formula One, Bagpuss, Adam Levine, shoes.....

Every woman loves shoes, I think it may be part of our DNA.  When buying shoes for the summer I try to look for pairs that will go with multiple outfits and also can carry you through from day to evening for those Summer's days outs.

Here are my favourites:

1.  Sporty Black Wedges £36.00
Wedges and not too high, ideal to take you from shorts to a maxi dress
2.  Leopard Print Lace-Ups  £24.00
Comfortable and with a cool print to add a pop of colour to your day time outfit
3.  Tan Block Heels £40.00
Ideal shoe to go with most evening dresses from short to maxi
4.  Espadrille Sandals £25.00
If you have had a long day sightseeing, these lovelies will still look good with a dress at the end of the day
5. Sparkle Ballerinas £28.00
What girl doesn't need a pair of ballerinas?

So those are my favourite shoes for the Summer season, what are yours?

Monday's Child

Welcome to my stecond outfit post.  I'll attempt to do better than the first which was full of nerves and badly placed photographs.  I'm new at all this so am on a learning curve.  No pun intended.

Mondays are no fun.  We all know that.  So Monday's child must have bling; a little sparkle to brighten up the day.  I always try and incorporate something sparkly into my outfits, usually my watch, seen below which I bought myself from Fossil as a treat for stopping smoking.  To add a little extra sparkle to the day, I also wore a ring, which can be found here

Now that we are heading ever faster into the colder weather, the hunt for the nice jumper has begun, with added pressure now that I don't automatically click the "black" box in the search.  So here is today's outfit.  A black pencil skirt bought earlier in the year from Next, a gorgeous camel chain print jumper which can be found here and some black t-bar shoes which I procured from the South collection at Very.

I really loved the chain pattern on the jumper and it is lovely and soft on the skin.  The shoes are a no brainer and go with everything, perfect for the office.  The bag, which I'm currently in love with was a purchase from Barnardos for the bargain price of £3.00.

That's Monday over and done with, tomorrow, another day, another outfit.  Hopefully I'll get to post something else later in the week.  Thanks for reading!
