Away with the Fairy Folk
I am the first to admit that I
have been a little away with the fairies for the past few weeks (on
a side note, wouldn’t that be really cool, runing away with the fairies,
I wanna do it!). There are various sides of my life that are madly swinging on the axis and my sense of direction seems to be all askew.
Things are finally settling down a
little bit and one of the things that I want to get back into shape
is my blog. Whilst I have never been one for writing and scheduling
posts more than a couple of days ahead and I never work to a specific
format, I feel that some sort of structure is needed.
The top on my blog priority list
is the comments. I have previously answered each and every comment
posted on my blog as I feel that someone is taking the time to
comment, I should reciprocate in replying back. This hasn’t been
happening lately, in fact for a couple of months now and I feel
horrible about it.
My action plan is now to take ten
minutes from each day to ensure that I reply. Replying to someone
three weeks after the fact seems a little pointless and I want to
make sure that I am now replying every day.
Same goes with reading other
people’s blogs. There are so many that I love and read but yet
again, I haven’t had time to comment. Knowing how happy it makes
me to receive a comment, I feel bad for not doing the same as much as
I want for others too.
This too will be rectified!
I will always put in my opinion
and lifestyle pieces into my blog whenever the mood strikes me but
I want to bring more fashion into the equation too. I have several
pieces that I have bought but just not been able to photograph.
My life would be so much easier if
I had someone following my around with a camera…… Anyone want to
apply? If you are male, can make me smile at the drop of a hat
and can work for free you will be hired in a millisecond!! ;)

Ava Collarless Coat Review*
Hi all!
Last Wednesday I was invited to the launch of the Ava Collection for Marisota in Soho. I was lucky enough to be allowed to take a couple of pieces away with me on the day and as a result, I have this gorgeous coat to show you!
This collarless coat is available in black, dusty pink or red and is priced at a not at all unreasonable £49.00. Now me being me, I went for the red and immediately fell in love with it.
The simple lines of this coat are effortlessly classic and the just above knee length (on me, I’m 5ft 4) is just at that right length that will go with both dresses and trousers.
My original idea was to show you this coat in a simple black dress so as to show off the beautiful red but then I changed my mind. Rather than use the coat as a colour pop to finish an outfit, I wanted it to add to an outfit instead, give it a little extra zing. Just because it is a classic style, doesn’t mean that it can also be versatile.
So here I am, complete with blue leopard print dress!
This coat will fit into my work wardrobe perfectly and will also, as shown in the above pictures, be added to some more fun outfits for nights out and weekends. All in all, a very hardworking coat!
What coats have you been buying lately?
*This coat was gifted to me however all opinions are my own.

Feeling Foxy
When it gets to this time of year I start to look for dresses that can make the transition from Summer to Autumn just with a change of accessories. If that dress can also work for either day or night time, it gets extra bonus points!
I recently spotted the South Lace Insert Day Dress in +Very.co.uk and was immediately drawn to the beautiful lace detailing around the neck and chest, combined with the fox print of the dress. I knew that I could make it work for both seasons and dress it up or down, so it went straight into my shopping bag.
Today I have been trying to figure out how to wear this dress for an upcoming night out with the girls, so decided to take a few pictures to show you. I would equally wear this dress at work too, just toning it down a little when Autumn arrives with a black cardigan and some opaque tights.
What have you been buying lately?

Burning Money
Day 26 - Something you read online
This title recently caught my eye £500,000 of Public Money to be spend on pavements for fat people
Once my head had exploded, steam stopped coming through my ears and my incredulous shouts of “What the bloody hell?” stopped I re-read the article in order to try and find some real meaning and reasoning in it.
Are they suggesting that fat people don’t currently walk on pavements as we are afraid of breaking them? We park our cars on concrete. There is not an epidemic of fat people causing earthquakes or paving slabs splitting as we walk, so I’m pretty much sure that pavements are self from us.
Are they intimating that fat people are scared of pot holes or cracks in the pavement more than thinner people? Anybody can fall over a defective pavement.
My only guess for what they are doing is this:
They obviously have problems with their pavements and are getting a lot of tripping claims coming through. They presumably don’t have the funding in their budget to make the repairs to the pavements, so need an excuse.
I have a vision of some bright spark in the roadways department coming up with an idea.
“Hey guys, I’ve got it!!! Put through on another department’s budget, pretend it will benefit something. Blame the fat people. Everyone hates them. Say it’s of benefit to them to get them to lose weight and we’ll get it through on “Health in the Community”.

Flash the Flesh Challenge
When a group of bloggers join together for a chat you know that the final result has to be super!! During a weekly #psbloggerschat a few days ago, we were talking about our preferences between mini and maxi and Becky thought that it would be great to create a challenge which goal was to show a little bit more skin and our body (but with style and no vulgarity) showing proudly our curves. And so it was born “Flash the Flesh”.
9 times out of 10 when you compliment a woman, she will counter with something negative. "You look lovely" today is answered with "Oh but my hair needs cutting".
Every woman should have something about their body that they love be it pretty eyes, lovely legs, a small waist; we should celebrate the things that we love, not hide them.
I've have a large chest since entering my teens and I have a little bit of a love/hate relationship with my breasts. I like my breasts but I hate the over familiar attention that they can attract sometimes. I refuse to let that stop me from dressing how I want however and as my cleavage is something that I like about my body so here I am, flashing the flesh!
